Arrival and Departure

The house will normally be ready by 3 pm. If you would like to drop things earlier then please remember the cleaners are trying to get the house ready for you.
When the time comes to leave please try to leave the house tidy. Hopefully you left rubbish for collection during the week. Any rubbish you are unable to take with you should be left bagged and in the rubbish bins provided. Ideally excess empty bottles can be taken to the recycle bin the Newport central car park. We appreciate this is your holiday and there is no need to strip beds. Used towels left in the bath is ideal.
We kindly ask guests to vacate the property by 10 am in order to allow the cleaners to have the house ready in the afternoon.
Please do not forget to return the key to the Key Safe

Heating

Gas heating and hot water.
The house has 2 zones for heating. Upstairs thermostat can be set in the first floor front bedroom.
The ground floor thermostat is in the hallway. Please return both to 15 deg C when you leave.
Hotwater and heating timers can be overidden by using the advance button on the time clock adjacent to the boiler in the utility room off the kitchen. There is an electric immersion heater switch in the cupboard on the ground floor opposite the shower room. Please switch off immersion after use.

Electrics

Fuses can be found in the cupboard in the hall way or adjacent to the boiler in utility room. Contact us if a circuit keeps tripping and we will arrange for an electrician to call.

Logs

If you use logs from the store then it would be appreciated if you could replace them.

Dogs

A maximum of 2 Dogs are welcome at Glan-y-werydd however please stick to a few simple rules to ensure yours and future visitors enjoy their visit.
  • Please ensure dogs do not go upstairs
  • Keep dogs off furniture
  • Please do not use the garden as a dog pen. It is not secure and children do play in this area. Please ensure it is clear of any dog mess.
  • Ensure you carry poop bags whenever leaving the house!

Telephone

Please note we understand that you may need to use the phone during your stay, particularly as the mobile signal is quite erratic in Newport. Our bills are itemised and we allow up to £10 of calls during a stay. If the phone charges are more than this we will need to charge you!

Tv booster

If you have no signal downstairs, you will need to ensure that the aerial booster is switched on. This can be found in the top bedroom adjacent to the rear window.
